Jeannine started life as a three and a half month old premature baby in May of 1990. At the age of three she was watching her dad race at Seattle International Raceway and discovered Jr. Dragsters. From there it was a long six years each birthday and Christmas asking if she was old enough to have one.
In the winter of 1999 a trip to Oregon was made to pick up her very own Jr. Dragster. When the track opened in 2000 Jeannine went out and made her first 1/8th mile pass. As her driving improved she was rewarded by winning the Gold Crown event at Bremerton Raceway and finishing in the top five in points at Bremerton Raceway.
In 2001 Jeannine was back at the doctors for a leg lengthening procedure that took one year to complete. In 2002 she worked on improving her lights and E.T.’s (elapsed times), she knew that 2003 was the year she could step up into the 7.90 class. She ended the season fifth in points. In 2003 the engine was purchased that would push her car to the NHRA limit of 7.90 seconds. While adjusting to the increase in speed Jeannine dialed in a 9.01 and did the near impossible, a Perfect Package, r/t 5.00 e/t 9.010. She was the first female to attain this status and, to the best of our knowledge, only the third in Jr. Drag Racing history. On April 9th, 2005 she set a personal best at Pacific Raceways with a 7.58 @ 84.86 mph blast down the 1/8th mile.
